How we make money
qabbel.mt is free to use. There are no fees, no paywall and no premium tier. This page sets out how the site is funded and what payment cannot influence.
Where the money comes from

Referral commissions
Melita may pay us if you use its labelled contact link and later sign up. That link opens a general Melita enquiry form; the direct plan link remains available. Banking products currently use editorial public listings and direct bank links; a paid banking referral would be disclosed and reviewed before launch.

Insurance introductions
When you send an insurance enquiry, the insurer or broker we forward it to may pay us for the introduction. Any quote you receive is their own price and is not affected by our fee.

Labelled sponsorship
A provider can pay to have a plan highlighted. Sponsored plans always carry a visible Sponsored label and do not change the order of results.

Display advertising
Local businesses can book one advertising slot per page. It is always marked Ad with the advertiser’s name, sold directly by us without third-party ad networks, and kept separate from comparison results.
What payment cannot buy
- A higher position in the results. Results are ordered by cost, return, speed or data allowance, as selected by you and appropriate to the category.
- The removal of a competitor, or of any plan a provider would prefer you did not see.
- More favourable descriptions. Highlights are written editorially, and each listed price or rate shows when it was last checked.
Providers without a commercial agreement can be listed on the same terms as partners. We disclose what our catalogue covers and do not claim every product in Malta is listed.
